[Emigration abroad] Is it true that criminals cannot migrate overseas?

2021-12-31

※This article can be read in 3 minutes.

This is a very disappointing news for Japanese people who are considering moving overseas in the future.

Requires proof of non-crime

As with any country, as a condition for obtaining a visa for long-term stay (including permanent residence),You are required to be non-crime.

The danger of having a criminal stay for a long time / permanent residence is that no country wants it.

When applying, you need to submit a "police certificate" (commonly known as a travel certificate).

・Resident (those who still have a resident card in Japan)

→Go to the police station in the area where you have your resident card and apply

・Non-resident (those who do not have a resident card in Japan)

→The area where the resident card was last was in charge of jurisdiction, so go to the police station in that area and apply.

※If you are already in a foreign country, please ask the embassy.

I have had one experience in the past, but I am nervous because my fingerprints are taken.

In my case, when I was in the second year of college, my bicycle was stolen a couple of times in a row, so I felt light about it.

On the day I stole it, I was caught by a police officer in Saitama prefecture.

I haven't been riding a bicycle for 10 minutes, but it's still a crime.

I remember being taken to the police station and the police calling my parents and hearing their voices and crying.

Anyway, I would like to say that if you do not tell the police certificate exactly what kind of crime you have, you will be treated as perjury.

If you are interested or worried, please contact the local police station immediately.

If you have any desire to live abroad in the future, you should try to live a non-crime life.

Violence is also strictly prohibited.

Summary

Please be aware that having a criminal record can be disadvantageous.

One mistake will regret it for the rest of your life.

Regards,

hiro
